Expertise and Experience

During his 22 years involvement in the real estate industry, John has experienced most aspects of the industry Ð commercial office and retail leasing, commercial and retail sales, sale of extensive broadacre and urban infill sites, feasibility analysis, portfolio analysis and advice, urban design, residential project marketing, development co-ordination, investment advice and residential sales. During the course of his career, John has transacted some of the most expensive and politically sensitive properties in South Australia.

After 12 years working with Knight Frank (SA) Pty Ltd, one of AustraliaÕs largest commercial property firms, John commenced his own practice in January 1997. The emphasis of the business revolved around the identification, design, financial analysis, marketing and sale of projects for a small, dedicated client base.

During his employment at Knight Frank, leading edge research and analysis and marketing principles were used and acted as the springboard for many successes, for local, interstate and offshore clients. Examples included convincing Target Australia to retail out of a CBD store, over two levels, for the first time, and which was based on extensive market research, and resulted in the largest retail leasing transaction in Adelaide at the time. John was also instrumental in the development and application of the first commercial office display suite in Adelaide, to market, for lease, the Australis Centre at Grenfell Street, Adelaide. JohnÕs ability to market and sell a variety of property types off the plan is highly refined and strongly evidenced.

In 1992, John was appointed as a panel agent to advise on and dispose of surplus government property and led to the development of sophisticated pricing models, and marketing and sale of residential land Ð en globo and individual allotments. He is widely regarded as an expert in the Adelaide market place. Predicting the changing accommodation needs of specific communities, and how best to quickly react and satisfy the ever changing market dynamics, has become an area of special interest.

A deep understanding of the financial and investment aspects of the property market and the ability to present qualified advice in an intelligible manner, are further evidence of the unique skills John brings to the design, financial analysis marketing and sale of property.
